Position Type: Full Time,

Salary Range: $18.00 - $24.00 Hourly,

Job Category: Retail, Accountability: Responsible for the day-to-day operation, performance and results of an assigned Ecommerce department. Provides leadership and direction to ECommerce Associates while ensuring department productivity, quality, inventory flow, customer service, safety, and compliance with established policies and procedures. Works collaboratively with the ECommerce Manager, Ecommerce Assistant Manager and other ECommerce Department Managers to support the overall success of the ECommerce operation.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Process Management

  • Takes ownership of the overall operation of the assigned Ecommerce department, including productivity, quality, workflow and product flow.
  • Supports achievement of budgeted sales and expenses. Supports operations and employees to achieve departmental sales and sell-through goals.
  • Assists in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other training materials as necessary.
  • Performs opening and closing duties including having keys to Ecommerce.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with all company policies and procedures.

People Management

  • Mentors and trains new team members.
  • Maintains positive, team-oriented relationship with management, peers, and co-workers; encourages positive interactions between all departments.
  • Establishes clear expectations for productivity, quality, attendance, work performance, and workplace conduct.

Customer Service

  • Ensures store staff and customers receive efficient and courteous service.
  • Exhibits and exemplifies commitment to service and building customer loyalty.

Retail & Sales Management

  • Ensures ECommerce employees are meeting or exceeding individual and team production goals.
  • Works with ECommerce and store associates to achieve set objectives as applicable. Monitors and maintains expected productivity levels in assigned areas.

Assigned Departmental Responsibilities

  • Shipping: Oversees accurate and timely packaging and shipping of orders, exchanges, and other ECommerce shipments while maintaining appropriate inventory and shipping processes. Monitors customer damage reports and packing methods, initiating retraining or adjusted methods, as needed.
  • Jewelry: Oversees intake, processing, research/authentication practices, metals and gemstones testing, photography, listing, costume jewelry routing, and other established processes for jewelry inventory as assigned. Also monitors testing methods and listing accuracy to reduce errors and customer returns. Initiating retraining, as needed.
  • Processing: Oversees intake, sorting, processing, inventory management, and product flow to ensure merchandise is prepared accurately and efficiently to move through listing and be delivered to customers efficiently.
  • Listing: Oversees product photography, research, listing, inventory accuracy, and timely movement of products into the online sales system while maintaining production goals to support monthly sales. Monitors listing content and accuracy to reduce errors, initiating changes and retaining, as needed.

Other

  • Ensures individual and group work areas are organized, restocked, and cleaned at the end of each day.
  • Consistently follows established safety rules. Reports safety accidents and hazards when known and in a timely manner. Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Utilizes proper equipment including PPE and supplies in meeting the safety standards.
  • Demonstrates regard for Goodwill’s assets including property and equipment.

Environment

This work is performed in a warehouse setting which can involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and the physical handling of goods. Noise levels vary. Donation area may be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Weekend and evening work required.

Sensory and Physical Requirements

Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all functions of the job. Sufficient eyesight to differentiate between and classify items. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and reach for long periods of time. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Use of both hands. Good manual and finger dexterity.

  • A combination of education and relevant work experience that aligns with the duties of this position.
  • Knowledge of collectibles, antiques, thrifting, and/or collecting strongly preferred with experience in internet research of same.
  • Proficient with PCs, including email, Microsoft applications, and internet use.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently in fast-paced environment.
  • Able to coordinate and work courteously as a team member to achieve group and department goals.
  • Problem solving abilities with customers, co-workers, and store contacts.
  • Leadership skills, including professionalism, business ethics, assertiveness, and self-motivation.
  • Strong English writing skills, basic math, and communication skills.
  • Exhibit a friendly demeanor and cooperatively interact with diverse co-workers and customers.
  • Understand and follow established safety rules.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
