Job Description
We're looking for an Ecommerce Creative Strategist who lives at the intersection of data and imagination. This role blends creative thinking with performance marketing — you'll develop winning ad concepts, analyze what's working, and use AI tools to scale creative production that drives measurable results for DTC brands.
What You'll Do
Creative Strategy & Concept Development
- Research markets and competitors to find new creative angles and develop strong hooks for DTC products
- Analyze ad performance data (CTR, CPC, conversions) to identify winning creative patterns
- Write detailed, actionable briefs for video and static ads guiding designers, editors, and UGC creators
- Develop scroll-stopping creative that balances brand storytelling with conversion-focused messaging
Performance Analysis & Optimization
- Audit ad accounts and historical data to identify top-performing assets
- Review ad performance regularly and refine creative direction based on results
- Conduct creative audits across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure creative effectiveness and ROI
AI-Powered Creative Production
- Leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, generative video) for copywriting, ideation, and asset generation
- Build scalable workflows that combine AI efficiency with human creative judgment
- Use AI to accelerate testing velocity while maintaining brand consistency
- Stay ahead of emerging tools and implement them strategically
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Manage UGC creators and oversee editors to ensure content aligns with strategy
- Partner with media buyers, designers, and account managers for creative-media alignment
- Lead the eCommerce Marketing team responsible for messaging and ad production
- Present creative strategies and performance insights to clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- 3–5 years in creative strategy, performance marketing, or media buying for DTC/ecommerce brands
- Proven ability to guide creative across paid media, email, landing pages, and full-funnel campaigns
- Portfolio demonstrating winning ads across static and video formats
- 12+ months hands-on experience using AI tools for creative concepting, copywriting, and asset production
- Track record of measurable ROAS improvements through creative work
- Deep familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and other paid social platforms
- Experience with A/B testing and iterative creative testing frameworks
- Strong brief-writing and creative documentation skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience managing UGC creators and content pipelines
- Background in copywriting or direct response marketing
- Familiarity with Shopify or WooCommerce
- Understanding of email marketing and lifecycle campaigns
- Experience building creative playbooks or brand guidelines
