E-commerce Business Analyst

Location: Remote (EST & CST Preferred)

Base Salary Rate: $99,412.00 - $116,955.00

About This Role

In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping and accelerating our e-commerce growth agenda by turning data into action. You will uncover insights across business performance, point-of-sale (POS), consumer behavior, and digital shelf metrics—connecting the dots to identify growth opportunities, influence strategy, and drive stronger commercial outcomes.

In this highly collaborative role, you will partner closely with e-commerce content specialists, product management, and other commercial stakeholders to translate complex data to clear strategic recommendations and ultimately business outcomes. This is an opportunity for a highly analytical, commercially minded self-starter wishing to make a visible impact on a rapidly evolving and strategically important growth area for the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Driving growth through data-driven analysis & reporting

• Analyze e-commerce business performance, including sales trends, conversion, traffic, and profitability across multiple e-commerce retail channels
• Track digital shelf metrics — including content compliance, search share/share of voice, ratings and reviews, availability, and pricing — to assess online presence and competitiveness.
• Identify trends, friction points, and opportunities to improve conversion and customer engagement.
• Support analysis and development of strategic growth initiatives via analysis of market, product, consumer insights, to inform go to market strategies.
• Build and maintain recurring executive level reporting and dashboards (e.g., in Power BI, Tableau, or Excel) to track business performance

Translating Insight into Strategy through collaborative stakeholder partnership

• Translate data signals into clear, actionable insights and recommendations aligned to channel strategy and business priorities.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer strategic business questions, support forecasting, and evaluate the impact of promotions, content changes, and merchandising initiatives.
• Synthesize findings into presentations and business reviews for leadership and retail partners.
• Trend identification: research market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities.
• Strategy development: create data-driven recommendations for marketing, merchandising, and product development.

Elevating ways of working through process improvement

• Assist in the development of processes simplify operating rhythms, improve decision-making, and strengthen cross-functional alignment across the e-commerce function and broader stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree
• 3+ years of experience in business analytics, e-commerce, or category management roles

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
• Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and stay highly organized.
• Experience working in retail or consumer goods industry preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Experience with e-Commerce data insights tools (Pacvue Commerce, Stackline, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Strong Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for bulk data management, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation
• Experience working with POS data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI/Circana, retailer portals) and digital shelf analytics tools (e.g., Profitero, DataWeave, Skai, or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI/visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Familiarity with major e-commerce retailers (e.g., Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com) and their reporting platforms (e.g., Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, Retail Link, Luminate).
• Familiarity with digital marketing metrics (search, media, content performance) and how they connect to sales outcomes.
• Exposure to statistical or forecasting methods.

Compensation and Benefits

Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
