Valiant is looking for a E-2 Site Manager to join our team!

Valiant is seeking an experienced E‑2/C2 Contract Instructor (CIP/CIN) to serve as the Site Manager for our training program in Norfolk, Virginia. This role blends hands‑ on‑ instruction with site leadership, ensuring effective and compliant delivery of Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) training. You will lead daily training operations, coordinate closely with the Government and FRS Training Office, and personally instruct across E‑2/C‑2 simulator, classroom, and systems training events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all site operations and instructor staff, ensuring full contract compliance, delivery of all training and reporting requirements, and serving as the primary liaison to the Government Site COR for all matters affecting performance, quality, and mission execution.
  • Deliver E‑2/C‑2 simulator, training device, and classroom instruction, including briefs and debriefs.
  • Conduct scheduled CI led and CI‑ supported‑ training for simulator, training device, and systems instruction.
  • Provide academic instruction including CRM, Instrument Ground School (IGS), and platform specific‑ coursework.
  • Use modern training tools such as interactive whiteboards, computers, projectors, CAI and CBT.
  • Evaluate student training and mission performance and document results in accordance with established criteria.
  • Provide instruction on training device operation, briefing and debriefing procedures, and grading and assessment standards.
  • Evaluate and record trainer and training device performance in accordance with established criteria.
  • Maintain, assess, and recommend improvements to mission scenarios for effectiveness and currency.
  • Assist with curriculum updates, tests, lesson plans, trainee guides, and training program improvements.
  • Support simulator and training device inspections, certifications, mishap recreation, and special projects.
  • Review syllabi and recommend changes based on NATOPS updates, engineering changes, and evolving mission requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the Tactical and Technical Publications Library and required instructional materials.
  • Attend required Government scheduled‑ meetings including Scheduling, Standardization, Government Instructor Pilot and Aircrew, Phase Head, and Intelligence Updates.
  • Lead daily instructor scheduling and coordination with the Government and FRS.
  • Ensure CI training currency, standardization, required reading compliance, and maintenance of instructional materials.
  • Maintain general cleanliness and housekeeping of assigned spaces and work areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred. Must be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI in the future.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of management experience, including at least 2+ years managing aviation training operations or instructor personnel.
  • Must be an E‑2/C‑2 CIP or CIN qualified instructor.
  • Must be or have been an E‑2/C2 NATOPS‑ qualified‑ pilot or have been an E‑2/C‑2 simulator instructor (pilot).
  • Must have been designated a Carrier Aircraft Plane Commander (CAPC) in the E‑2 or Carrier Transport Plane Commander (CTPC) in the C‑2 (ACTC level 300 or greater).
  • Must not have any punitive actions resulting in termination of flight status (e.g., FNAEB type B classification).
  • Minimum 800 flying hours in the E‑2/C‑2.
  • Must pass a current E‑2/C2 NATOPS closed‑ book‑ exam.
  • Must successfully complete open book, closed‑ ‑book, oral, and boldface exams and annually renew NATOPS qualifications.
  • Must successfully complete the FRS SOP test annually.
  • Must complete the Hawkeye Advanced Readiness Program (HARP) including academics, exams, and simulations; must attend HARP academics and take the HARP exam biennially.
  • Any NATOPS or tactics deviation must be approved by the FRS or ACCLWS.
  • Must be available by phone when not in the designated workspace during 0800–1600 local.
  • Ability to maintain proficiency with syllabus changes, required reading, and updates to publications.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain situational awareness during extended training scenarios.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb two flights of stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift, climb, and perform physical tasks as needed.
