DZ Truck Driver - Hanover

Starting rate: $25.00 - $27.00

This position will require the DZ Driver to have or obtain their Boom certificate. The company will provide the training to operate the Boom

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly and provide first-class customer service throughout the delivery process.
Vehicle Operation:
• Operate DZ and G licensed vehicles, including flatbed vehicles and lift trucks.
• Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of products, adhering to weight restrictions and lifting device requirements.
Delivery Operations:
• Make deliveries throughout Southwestern Ontario in a timely manner.
• Maintain the safety of pedestrians, employees, and customers while operating the vehicle.
Vehicle Maintenance:
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including daily inspections and documentation of maintenance issues.
• Ensure all safety equipment, straps, and paperwork are in place and properly maintained.
Compliance and Safety:
• Operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, following all rules of the road and company policies.
• Ensure all deliveries are accompanied by invoices and signed for by contractors or customers.
• Collect COD orders and handle payments securely until returned to the store.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Report all infractions, tickets, accidents, and vehicle violations promptly.
• Ensure driver's license is up-to-date and meets MTO requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, and maintenance issues.
Training and Mentorship:
• Train, mentor, and work effectively with delivery helpers, including temporary labor.
Vehicle Maintenance and Cleanliness:
• Keep the vehicle clean both inside and outside at all times.
Compliance with Policies:
• Comply with all Moffatt and Powell policies and procedures.
