Job Description
Full‑Time • Hourly • On‑Site • Day Shift (5:00am–3:30pm Monday to Thursday, Overtime on Friday as needed)
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented technician to test ride-on trowels using a dynamometer (dyno) and prepare equipment for shipment through custom crating and packaging. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with machinery, building with their hands, and being part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
Equipment Testing & Inspection
- Operate and maintain the dyno to test ride-on trowels using the correct model-specific programs
- Inspect units for paint defects, leaks, and overall quality
- Record test data including blade speed, gearbox temperature, and other performance metrics
Crating & Packaging
- Read prints, shipping documents, and specifications to determine proper crate design
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials to build crates and skids
- Secure equipment using straps, padding, and protective materials
- Label, stencil, and verify all items before shipment
- Repair damaged crates as needed
Material Handling & Logistics
- Safely move completed crates to the shipping area
- Transport lumber, packaging, and supplies to the crating area
- Operate hoists and forklifts safely and efficiently
Team & Safety
- Communicate clearly with department leads and team members
- Handle machinery and equipment with care and attention to safety
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Entry-level experience welcome; training provided
- Ability to read basic instructions, prints, and numbers
- Comfortable with basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Experience with hand tools and air-powered tools preferred
- Forklift and hoist experience a plus (or willingness to be trained)
- Experience using saws (radial arm, skill saw) preferred
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 10 hours per day
- Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs
- Regular use of hands, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Work in a loud manufacturing environment (hearing protection required)
- Exposure to industrial materials such as hydraulic fluid, fuels, and cleaners
- Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay wage: $23.00 / hour
- 9 paid Holidays
