Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Resolve process and quality issues related to gear manufacturing.
  • Stay updated on the latest machining technologies, cutting tool materials, and tool geometries.
  • Conduct training programs on tools, tooling, and emerging industry trends.
  • Identify and implement tool life improvement projects and evaluate alternate tooling technologies.
  • Drive defect identification, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Lead new model machining setup, line setup, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Improve capacity through debottlenecking and process improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and sustain a zero-rejection manufacturing concept.
  • Drive revenue and cost reduction initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Generate, evaluate, and implement continuous improvement ideas.
  • Collaborate with support functions and resolve issues through cross-functional team (CFT) engagement.
  • Promote and strengthen a safe working culture across the plant.
  • Develop and sustain a continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensure knowledge and adherence to quality systems through regular reviews.
  • Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation in machining operations.
  • Lead projects focused on tool cost reduction, power cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
  • Benchmark best practices across plants and industries to achieve manufacturing excellence.
  • Ensure thorough knowledge and compliance with QS 9000, DCP, PFMEA, and Control Plan requirements.
  • Drive productivity improvements through regular review of key performance indicators such as OLE and OEE.
