Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. This educational background equips candidates with fundamental principles in mechanical systems, machinery maintenance, and engineering problem-solving essential for this role.
Additional certifications or training in maintenance management, reliability engineering, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, or quality management systems (such as ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001) will be advantageous.
Ongoing professional development to keep up-to-date with latest industry technologies, safety regulations, and process improvements is encouraged to maintain high standards of expertise and compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 11 years of progressive experience within the maintenance function of engineering or manufacturing industries, with a preference for exposure in the automotive or tractor manufacturing sectors.
Experience should demonstrate a proven track record in managing maintenance activities of large-scale heavy machinery and plant utilities, showing expertise in ensuring high equipment availability and reliability.
Candidates should also have experience with planning and executing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, managing spare parts inventory, and leading maintenance teams in a dynamic, production-focused environment.
Exposure to quality standards such as ISO 9001, knowledge of total productive maintenance (TPM), and experience in using root cause analysis methodologies for equipment breakdowns are highly desirable.
