EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time DWI Case Manager to join the Suffolk County DWI Case Management Services Program.

Salary: $30/ hour

Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday- Friday

Location: 320 Carleton Ave. Ste 8000 in Central Islip, NY

What drives the core purpose of this job

The DWI Case Manager is responsible for assessment and assisting program participants in accessing a broad range of services, including alcohol and substance abuse treatment, and other supportive services.

What are the key responsibilities

• Conduct program screenings and assessments and follow-up interviews.
• Develop psychosocial assessments and treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team.
• Recruit participants for cognitive behavioral interventions and assist with scheduling and implementing Conduct sessions as needed.
• Assist clients with basic needs (housing, public assistance, medical services).
• Work with the Department of Probation to implement and monitor Secure Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) bracelet use.
• Monitor clients in treatment to support recovery.
• Maintain client records.
• Prepare written reports as needed.
• Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients.
• Escort clients to treatment facilities when indicated.
• Perform drug testing.
• Assist program evaluation staff in data collection.
• Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.

What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:

• Bachelors degree in social or behavioral sciences required. CASAC preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of treatment programs and local criminal justice systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work cooperatively with treatment and criminal justice systems.
• Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
