Your Future as a Veterinarian Starts Here!
At Sawmill and North Jones Animal Hospitals, you will join a well-established, multi-doctor, multi-location practice with decades of experience serving the community. We take pride in our deep local roots, strong client relationships, and a supportive culture that combines seasoned professionals with eager new talent. With a loyal and compassionate support staff by your side, you will find a workplace where you can grow, feel valued, and make a meaningful impact.
Sawmill Animal Hospital is the oldest veterinary hospital in Jones County, Mississippi, while its sister facility, North Jones Animal Hospital, is located just four miles down the road. Both locations are open to clients Monday through Friday. Many staff members have been with the practices for several years. Both facilities treat canine and feline patients and offer exceptional services, including boarding, dental care, digital radiology, grooming, in-clinic diagnostic testing, hospitalization/intensive care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, pain management, pharmacy services, preventative care, surgery, therapeutic laser treatments, ultrasound, vaccinations, and more.
If you are looking for a small-town atmosphere, Laurel, Mississippi, is the perfect place for you! It’s conveniently located a short drive from Montgomery, Biloxi, and the Gulfport & Biloxi beaches. Laurel has gained popularity recently, thanks in part to HGTV’s "Home Town," which showcases Erin and Ben Napier renovating old homes in their hometown. Laurel’s Main Street features a variety of shops, bakeries, restaurants, and local events. For art enthusiasts, the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art is a must-visit. The town stays active by hosting numerous events, including Crawfests and 5 K runs.
