DVM Field Trainer
Core Mission
We’reseekinga skilled, people-first veterinarian to join our Learning & Development team as a DVM Field Trainer In this field-based role,you’lltravel between hospitals to provide hands-on coaching in medicine and surgery, offering real-time case support that helps associate veterinarians build confidence, efficiency, and clinical excellence Through mentorship and collaboration,you’llstrengthen surgical capability, advance medical decision-making, and reinforce the Lovet standard of care across ourhospitals.
Key Responsibilities
Surgical Mentorship & Training
Provide hands-on coaching in soft tissue surgery, including spays, neuters, and mass removals, various abdominal procedures,dentistry/extractions,with a focus on improving efficiency, technique, and confidence.
Clinical Case Support
Guideassociates through general practice case workups, diagnostics, and internal medicine management, helping to strengthen clinical reasoning and outcomes.
Skill Development Tracking
Partner with Learning & Development to track progress,identifyskill gaps, and support measurable improvement in clinical and surgical competencies.
Key Qualifications
We are looking for a clinician who is both technically strong andpeople-focused Ideal candidates will have:
Active Arizona veterinary license in good standing; willing to be licensed in IL and MI and other markets as we expand
Minimum5+ years of clinical experiencein general practice
Strongproficiencyin soft tissue surgerydentistry.
Confidence in general practice medicine and internal medicine case management
Demonstrated ability or strong interest in teaching, mentoring, and coaching others
Structure & Expectations
This is a full-time, field-based rolesupporting multiple hospitals.You’lltravel to provide on-site coaching and case support, partnering with hospital leadership and the L&D team tofocustraining whereit’sneeded most.
Travel regularly between assigned locations to provide on-site support and coaching.
Partner with hospital leadership and the L&D team to prioritize training needs by site and by associate,maintaininga Monday–Friday schedule(weekends as-needed)with flexibility based onhospital needs.
