Meet the Team

The 15.4 Customer Applications teamat Silicon Labs partners closely with customers developing wireless products based on IEEE 802.15.4 technologies. The team provides deep software support, creates high-quality documentation, and feeds real-world insights back into engineering to continuously improve Silicon Labs’ wireless solutions.

As part of Silicon Labs’ Wireless organization, this team plays a key role in enabling customers to successfully integrate our industry-leading low-power networking solutions into their products. By bridging customers and internal engineering teams, they directly contribute to customer success and business growth through design wins and long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support to customers integrating Silicon Labs’ 802.15.4 wireless software stacks

• Debug, analyze, and resolve complex embedded software and networking issues in customer applications

• Develop andmaintainhigh-quality technical documentation, application notes, and example code

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and quality teams to improve software usability and performance

• Act as a customer advocate by translating field feedback into actionable improvements for internal teams

• Support customer design cycles from evaluation through production, helping secure and expand design wins

• Deliver clear and effective communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Skills You Will Need

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development

• Strong programming skills in embedded C

• Experience with networking software and protocols

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in embedded systems

• Strong communicationskills, with the ability to work directly with customers

The following qualifications are considered a plus:

• Experience with wireless technologies, especially IEEE 802.15.4 (e.g., Zigbee, Thread, Matter)

• Familiarity with low-power embedded systems and IoT applications

• Experience in customer-facing or applications engineering roles

• Bilingualproficiencyin English and French

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $102,200 - $189,800 CAD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
