Job Description

Summary:

As a Duty Manager at REEL Widnes, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy cinema. This part-time position requires a customer-focused individual with previous retail management experience to support the General Manager in daily activities, lead the Front of House team, and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness. Your flexibility and teamwork will contribute to creating an enjoyable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly and helpful service to customers.
  • Supervise team members and ensure key tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Support the management team in ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
  • Communicate targets and objectives to the team effectively.
  • Assist in training team members to enhance their skills.
  • Manage cash handling and financial transactions.
  • Drive concession sales and promote special offers.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all public areas of the cinema.
  • Ensure high standards of presentation and display in concessions.
  • Restock concession areas and manage inventory.
  • Stay updated on film releases and cinema events.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Be available for evening shifts and during all school holiday periods.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer-facing retail management experience is essential.
  • Supervisory experience is highly advantageous.
  • Must be over 18 due to licensing restrictions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • A helpful and approachable personality.
  • Basic cash management skills.

The current REEL CINEMAS circuit comprises 16 cinemas, with 82 screens.
