Hospitality management job in Vienna. Lead the team, run the operation, and make sure our guests get the ultimate Zoku experience. The floor is yours!
Are you someone who loves to connect with people and gets a kick out of solving tricky operational puzzles? Then keep reading!
At Zoku, we’re not your typical hotel. We’re a community-driven space where people can live, work, socialize, and connect with the city around them. We believe hospitality should feel personal, human, and effortless and that starts with the people running the floor. That’s where you come in.
WHAT IS AN DUTY MANAGER AT ZOKU?
As a Duty Manager, you’ll help set the tone for everything that happens on our rooftop. You’ll coach, train and set our team of “Sidekicks” (the operational team) up for success, making sure guests feel welcome, service standards are kept high, and the team has everything they need to succeed.
You report to the Lead Duty Manager and work alongside a team of equally driven Duty Managers and Department Leads. You’ll be at the centre of the operation, connecting people, solving challenges, and keeping things moving.
This isn’t your typical hotel F&B/Reception role. Think less traditional restaurant and more Living Kitchen, Kindred Spirits Bar, corporate or creative events, co-working lunches, all inside a unique hybrid hotel experience. That’s the beauty of Zoku: variety comes with the territory.
We’re looking for someone who loves hospitality as much as they love people. A hands-on leader who thrives on the floor, brings positive energy to the team, and knows how to turn great service into great results.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
No day looks the same as a Duty Manager… but here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:
Lead and Coach the Sidekicks. You’ll guide, train, and support the operational team, keeping everyone engaged and aligned with our goals, KPIs and ongoing projects, while making sure Zoku’s values are constantly lived on the floor. You’ll also manage team schedules and projects with your fellow Duties.
Run the floor, end to end. Oversee daily operations across Bar, F&B service, Rooms, M&E events and special projects. Handle reservations, place orders, check payments, and jump in wherever the team needs an extra pair of hands.
Solve the problems no one else can. Be the go-to troubleshooter and mediator when things get tricky. Own safety and security procedures so the team can focus on the guests.
You’ll stay close to the guest experience. You’re not managing from the back office. You’ll spend your time where guests and team members need you most.
Keep the commercial lens on. Monitor service quality, labor efficiency, upselling opportunities, and operational performance while helping the business achieve its goals.
Operational Allrounder As a Duty Manager, you oversee the entire daily operation of the hotel across the departments - Bar, F&B service, Rooms - handle reservations, place orders, and check payments. Additionally, you also oversee the M&E operations and special events without losing the focus on any operational needs that will come up.
WHEN YOU'LL BE ON
You’ll work independently across different departments, with both morning and afternoon / evening shifts. Your responsibilities and hours may vary. Hospitality never stands still, so flexibility is part of the role.
WHY THIS ROLE ISN’T LIKE OTHER DUTY MANAGER ROLES
You’ll lead a unique hospitality concept As an award-winning hotel concept, Zoku is hybrid by nature, serving not only guests, but local coworking members, F&B guests, M&E guests and locals joining regular community events. Feel free to stop by and experience it for yourself!
Ideas are heard, and acted upon. At Zoku, we have a flat hierarchy structure. As an important part of our team, you'll get plenty of responsibility and your ideas will be valued.
You’ll develop future hospitality leaders. Our Sidekicks are hospitality all-rounders, and you’ll play a key role in helping them grow personally and professionally.
A group behind you. Four locations across Europe (Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Vienna, Paris), with a Leadership Program that takes you between them.

WHAT THE ZOKU?!
We’re Zoku. Designed for the new generation of business travelers, we’re so much more than a long stay hotel. We’re a place you can call your second home, even on your first visit. We’ve created a hive of private Lofts and rooftop Social Spaces, so you can stay connected and well rested as you live and work throughout Europe. Zoku provides a home for business travelers and remote workers who want to live and work in a city for a few days to a few months. We’re a new type of business hotel offering a relaxed place to live, cowork, and socialize – while wiring you into the local scene. Here's everything you need to know about us:
THE END OF THE HOTEL ROOM
Sleep, work, dine, repeat: all from your own private Zoku Loft.
Bye-bye traditional hotel rooms. We did 150 interviews with our target audience and made 6 different prototypes to create the award-winning Zoku Loft: a spacious micro apartment designed for living comfortably and working efficiently.
In a regular hotel room or studio apartment, the bed always dominates. In the Zoku Loft, the big kitchen table serves as a focal point, shifting the center of the space from the bed to the living room. Now you have a truly livable home to explore Paris and work abroad for as long as you want.
ROOFTOP MEETING ROOMS & EVENT SPACES
Say goodbye to boring conference rooms and dull events. Our rooftop meeting venue is designed to fuel connections, spark ideas, and drive productivity. All of our meeting rooms are flooded with natural light and have amazing views overlooking the city.
On top of this, our friendly team of Sidekicks is on hand to help with whatever you may need, whether that’s providing delicious food and drinks from our on-site restaurant or helping you book an overnight stay in a Loft. Host a brainstorm session, networking event, presentation, or workshop, we can do it all!
COWORKING & COMMUNITY
Join a coworking community where everyone knows your name. Tons of natural light? Check! Inspiring spaces with friendly people? Double check! Discover our rooftop coworking spaces on the top floor of every Zoku. We offer Day Passes (with delicious lunch) and monthly coworking memberships.
