Full-Time Duty Manager | Barista | Casual Maintenance / Boots

Full-Time Duty Manager

A hands-on leadership role supporting daily operations and delivering great service across our restaurant, bistro, bar and function spaces.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading shifts and supporting the team through busy services
• Handling guest enquiries and feedback with confidence and care
• Overseeing opening, closing, cash handling and venue presentation
• Maintaining responsible service, safety and compliance standards
• Working closely with the management team to keep operations running smoothly

What you’ll bring:

• Previous hospitality leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills and a calm, practical approach
• A positive attitude and confidence leading by example
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
• Responsible person badge highly regarded
• Availability across the week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays

Barista

Bring your coffee skills and friendly personality to a role focused on great coffee and welcoming service.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing consistently great coffee and other beverages
• Welcoming guests, taking orders and processing payments
• Keeping the coffee station clean, organised and well stocked
• Cleaning and maintaining coffee equipment
• Supporting the wider food and beverage team as needed

What you’ll bring:

• Previous barista experience and confidence using a commercial coffee machine
• An eye for quality and presentation
• The ability to work efficiently during busy periods
• A friendly attitude and a love of looking after people
• Flexible availability across the week, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays.

Casual Maintenance / Boots

An early-start, hands-on role helping keep The Lion clean, well presented and ready to welcome guests. Shifts start at 5:30 am.

What you’ll be doing:

• Completing morning cleaning and preparing the venue for opening
• Maintaining indoor and outdoor presentation
• Assisting with general upkeep and minor maintenance within your skills
• Managing rubbish and recycling
• Setting up furniture and reporting maintenance issues

What you’ll bring:

• Reliability, punctuality and availability for 5:30 am starts
• A practical approach and strong attention to detail
• Confidence working independently and taking initiative
• Comfort with physical tasks
• Availability across the week, including weekends and public holidays
• Cleaning or maintenance experience is an advantage
