Set within the iconic Pentridge precinct, Adina Hotel Pentridge Melbourne blends rich heritage with contemporary hospitality. Located in Melbourne's north, the hotel offers a distinctive guest experience within one of Australia's most historically significant sites, featuring thoughtfully designed accommodation, modern facilities and easy access to dining, entertainment and retail offerings.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on role for a hospitality professional who thrives on creating memorable guest experiences, leading teams and ensuring smooth day-to-day hotel operations.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you'll be a key leader within the hotel, providing operational support across all departments while ensuring guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay. You'll lead by example, inspire your team and act as a key escalation point for guest and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations and maintain exceptional guest service standards
• Lead, coach and support front office and operational team members
• Manage guest enquiries, feedback and service recovery situations professionally
• Ensure efficient hotel operations during shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Monitor hotel presentation, safety and compliance standards
• Support occupancy management, arrivals, departures and revenue opportunities
• Coordinate effectively with housekeeping, food & beverage and maintenance teams
• Assist with training, onboarding and development of team members
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture

About You

You'll bring:

• Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Front Office Supervisor or similar hotel leadership role
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Exceptional guest service and communication abilities
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays
• A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences

Desirable

• Experience with hotel property management systems
• First Aid qualification
• Previous experience within a hotel environment
