As the Duty Airport Manager, you’ll take on a pivotal leadership role in delivering safe, efficient and customer-focused airport operations during your shift. Acting as the on‑shift decision maker, you’ll oversee the end-to-end operation across above‑ and below‑the‑wing activities, ensuring operational performance meets safety, regulatory, service and commercial expectations.
Working a rotating shift roster (Sample Duty Airport Manager Roster), you’ll partner closely with port teams, ground service providers, airport authorities and operational control functions to maintain stability, manage disruption and deliver strong on‑time and customer outcomes. As a visible presence on the ground, you’ll bring people together, align priorities and foster teamwork in both routine operations and high‑pressure situations.
You’ll role‑model safe behaviours, support and influence frontline teams, and drive continuous improvement through clear communication, collaboration and decisive leadership.
