The expected hiring range for this position is:

$34.24-$41.76.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such the scope and responsibilities of the position, qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.

About the Role:

The DUNE Collaboration Coordinator serves as the initial point-of-contact for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) Collaboration responsible for routine User and DUNE Spokesperson support. Supports the Lead DUNE Collaboration Coordinator and manages administrative and operational functions that enable scientists from various global institutions to collaborate effectively.

What your day-to-day as a DUNE Collaboration Coordinator at Fermilab will look like:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine requests from Fermilab Users in the DUNE Collaboration. Resolves straightforward inquiries and escalates complex issues to the Lead.
  • Maintain the collaboration database by tracking membership, institutional relationships, and publication authorship. Responsible for routine updates and operational needs, escalating complex issues to the Lead.
  • Organize and executes small DUNE Collaboration meetings, coordinating agendas and logistics for meetings at Fermilab and other national/international venues.
  • Oversee and approve Fermilab site access and safety compliance for collaborators, ensuring training requirements are met. o Serves as contact for individual training modules, updates training plans, and monitors compliance.
  • Support development of collaboration resources and systems, authoring requirements for new tools and database enhancements to support the DUNE Collaboration’s evolving needs.
  • Perform a variety of routine administrative and staff support duties, escalating complex issues to the Lead.
  • Assist in coordination of financial operations for DUNE/ProtoDUNE team accounts at CERN, such as routine approval of expenditures and requisition submission.
  • Maintain DUNE’s communications strategy through website management and social media channels, enhancing visibility and public engagement with the experiment.
  • Provide support to the Lead in governance processes and board/committee activities (e.g., Authorship & Publications Board, DUNE U.S., Speakers Committee, etc.), while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive matters. Direct Executive Board support remains under the purview of the Lead.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Abide by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • High school diploma
  • 4+ years of administrative or program coordination experience.


Applicable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Working knowledge of administrative operational procedures and ability to apply them to routine tasks.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to effectively prioritize tasks.

  • Onsite This is an onsite role, and the candidate must be able to work from our Batavia office.
