We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Operator to join our mining team. The Dump Truck Operator will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials within the mining site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials within the mining site.
- Load and unload materials using the dump truck's hydraulic system.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the mine site, following established routes and schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to speed limits and traffic signs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other personnel to ensure efficient operations.
- Assist with other tasks within the mining site as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy-duty dump trucks or similar equipment.
- Experience working in a mining or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to work in outdoor and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
