Regulatory Compliance and Preliminary Investigations

  • Conduct preliminary investigations to assess compliance with applicable FAA regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.
  • Analyze information from multiple sources to identify discrepancies, determine relevant facts, and support investigative findings.
  • Review and interpret federal regulations and supporting documentation to determine appropriate next steps.
  • Identify cases requiring additional investigative action and refer matters for formal investigation when warranted.

Documentation, Correspondence, and Case Resolution

  • Prepare and issue regulatory compliance correspondence, including compliance and educational letters to airmen, as applicable.
  • Maintain timely and accurate case updates throughout the preliminary investigative process and document final determinations.
  • Process record expungements when applicable, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and other parties involved in the investigative process.
  • Ensure investigative records and correspondence are handled accurately and with appropriate discretion.
  • Perform additional investigative and administrative support duties as assigned by the Division Manager.

Requirements
