Job Description

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Due Diligence Director, Corporate Security & Investigations to identify and assess business and reputational risk issues associated with potential clients or transactions. This role is responsible for managing assigned due diligence matters, delivering high-quality investigative outputs, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors supporting the due diligence process.

This is a Director level position.

What you'll do in the role:
- Manage end-to-end due diligence case delivery for assigned matters in the Greater China region, ensuring SLA adherence, documentation integrity, and audit readiness.
- Independently draft and review due diligence reports, validating research accuracy, completeness, and supporting source documentation.
- Perform quality assurance of third-party vendor reports, assessing research methodology, results, and presentation standards.
- Personally manage complex investigative due diligence cases, briefing internal stakeholders and coordinating external vendors.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal clients, briefing Risk, FCR, Global Financial Crimes, and Legal on material findings.
- Support team capability and process effectiveness through training, mentoring junior analysts, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring to the role:
- University degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience conducting reputational due diligence or investigative/analytical work, including reviewing the work of others.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese).
- Strong business writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of AML, sanctions, and anti-corruption regulatory frameworks within financial services.
- Deep understanding of the business, cultural, and political environment in the Greater China region.
- Expertise using public-record databases, due diligence vendors, and research tools, including identifying new resources.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to proper handling of sensitive information and PII.

Preferred qualifications
- Experience managing complex matters involving source commentaries or field investigations.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or advanced analytics in due diligence research.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or similar.
- Experience delivering training, presentations, or stakeholder briefings.
