Role: Duck Creek Policy Business Analyst

Location: Morristown, NJ — Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Duck Creek Policy Business Analyst to support our client, CoAction. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Duck Creek Policy, insurance business processes, and requirements analysis. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and project leadership to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and deliverables.
· Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to Duck Creek Policy.
· Work closely with business stakeholders to understand insurance processes, workflows, and system requirements.
· Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
· Support configuration and implementation initiatives within Duck Creek Policy.
· Analyze existing policy administration processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Collaborate with developers, QA teams, architects, and other project stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
· Create and maintain requirements documentation, process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
· Participate in requirement walkthroughs, solution discussions, sprint planning, and review sessions.
· Support testing activities, including test case review, UAT, defect analysis, and validation of delivered functionality.
· Assist with issue resolution by analyzing business and functional impacts.
· Ensure solutions align with business objectives and insurance industry best practices.
· Strong experience as a Business Analyst in the P&C Insurance domain.
· Hands-on experience with Duck Creek Policy.
· Strong understanding of policy administration processes, including policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and related workflows.
· Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
· Ability to create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience collaborating with technical teams and business users.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Experience with Duck Creek Policy implementations, upgrades, or enhancements.
· Knowledge of P&C insurance products and policy lifecycle.
· Experience working with integration/API requirements related to policy administration systems.
· Experience supporting UAT and production issue analysis.
· Prior experience working with large insurance carriers or insurance technology programs.
