CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

A client and quality focused individual who produces technically perfect, comprehensive and accurate repro-ready artwork that enables superior final material with the minimum of risk, time and expense by following the RMS system and workflow principles.

PRINCIPLE DELIVERABLES

Accurate repro-ready material

• Produce technically correct, comprehensive material as per the brief within the allocated time

• Understand and adhering the Retailers Brand CI and follow the RMS brief and layout instructions from the Ad Coordinator

• Grouping of products, attention to detail as per clients expectations.

• Integrations: Accuracy when integrating jobs from RMS to Indesign.

• Accurately action changes through RMS
• Escalation and troubleshooting of all brief, layout, retouching or quality related problems

• Reflect accurate information (visuals, price and copy)

• Ensure correct files / versions / file names are copied to the relevant departments or mailed in the relevant RMS mail stages or Page proofing stages.

• Ensure quality measures are in place _paying attention to accuracy, colour, fonts, design elements and final sizes from the RMS brief.

• Effectively prioritize and meet all deadlines
• Ensure that correct sign-off procedures in RMS are followed before final production & transmission to relevant output channel

Housekeeping

• Maintain back-up records consistently and archive all approved artwork in the RMS Guardbook and retrieve as requested

• Conduct regular system housekeeping to maintain available space on server by archiving / retrieving of artwork

Product

• Familiar with new trends

• Be responsible and take ownership of work

Reports

• Reports any technology related issue immediately

Profit

• Log time on RMS, be costs conscious and attempt to reduce cost where possible

Systems

• Understand and adhere to solutions and systems

• Comply with RMS system rules and workflow

People

• Maintain high levels of communication within the team and across all agency departments

• Respect work, people, peers and place of business

• Provide support to the creative department

• Project a positive and professional image of the Company internally and externally

• Direct client liaison on a regular basis might be applicable

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Knowledge/Experience

• Matric & relevant retail layout experience
• Mac OSX System literate

• Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of the print repro process

• Skilled use of DTP tools (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite)
