Job Description

Corsair is seeking a hands-on, adaptable D2C Category Manager to own and drive performance for the Components category across our global direct-to-consumer storefronts.

This role combines category ownership with operational execution. The Category Manager will be responsible for growing revenue, improving margin, and maintaining healthy inventory performance while managing day-to-day backend merchandising, pricing, promotions, and catalog accuracy across our D2C platforms.

We are looking for someone who understands how eCommerce businesses operate end-to-end, and is comfortable navigating backend systems, managing day-to-day execution, and testing new ideas to capture incremental sales beyond traditional promotional tactics.

This role will initially focus on the Components category. As the individual builds expertise and demonstrates strong performance, there will be opportunity to take on additional product categories and expanded ownership within the D2C business.

Key Responsibilities

Category Performance & Growth

  • Own revenue, margin, and inventory performance for the Components category across all global D2C storefronts.
  • Analyze performance trends and implement pricing, merchandising, and promotional adjustments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities beyond standard discounting, including bundling, cross-sell, and assortment optimization strategies.

eCommerce Execution & Backend Operations

  • Manage day-to-day backend operations, including product setup, pricing updates, promotions, catalog accuracy, and category merchandising updates (product placement, featured assortments, promotional visibility).
  • Adapt quickly to evolving ecommerce systems, tools, and workflows, contributing to process improvements as needed.

Forecasting & Inventory Collaboration

  • Provide sales input and performance insights to Planning to support accurate SKU-level forecasting.
  • Monitor sell-through and inventory positions, proactively identifying risks and recommending corrective actions to protect revenue and margin.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing and Go-To-Market teams to support product launches and campaigns.
  • Partner with internal teams to enhance the overall D2C customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, D2C operations, or category management.
  • Strong understanding of D2C business operations from catalog management through performance optimization.
  • Experience working within ecommerce platforms and backend systems (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar).
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving e-commerce environment.
  • Data-driven decision maker with the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Commercial mindset with a willingness to test and iterate new ideas.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware or computer peripherals preferred.
  • Exposure to emerging ecommerce or social commerce platforms (e.g., TikTok Shop).

  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field preferred.
