Regents International School Pattaya seeks an outstanding Teacher of Design & Technology to join our growing and ambitious secondary school. We are looking for an innovative educator with experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Product Design and Graphic Products together with Pearson Edexcel A Level Product Design. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young designers, engineers and problem-solvers through a curriculum that promotes creativity, innovation and real-world design thinking.

Job Description

The role:

We seek a qualified Teacher of Design and Technology to join as a Design and Technology Teacher where your focus will be:

• To deliver consistently excellent teaching and learning, embodying the Regents Teaching and Learning Consistencies and Principles through the highest expectations for all, a strong academic ethos, inclusive practice, high levels of student participation and thinking, and purposeful, responsive teaching that enables every student to thrive.
• To contribute to high-quality curriculum planning and preparation, developing and implementing rigorous schemes of work and short-, medium- and long-term plans aligned with curriculum requirements, school policies and learning objectives, alongside effective assessment that informs teaching and provides students with timely, high-quality feedback.
• To contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including acting as a Form Tutor, supporting the implementation of the IB and A Level curriculum, participating in school events and enrichment activities, and contributing to co-curricular opportunities that support students’ engagement, participation and holistic development.
• To be a positive ambassador for the school and build strong relationships with students, parents and the wider community, contributing to initiatives that enhance student engagement and fostering effective parental engagement through high-quality reporting, communication and timely feedback on student progress.

Job Responsibilities

Required Skills/Abilities

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• A recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE, HDipEd or equivalent, alongside the ability to meet the visa requirements for working in Thailand and the school’s safeguarding and child protection requirements.
• Strong expertise in Design and Technology, with the ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging to students, alongside a deep understanding of curriculum and examination requirements and effective teaching strategies.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills, together with the ability to use technology and digital tools effectively to support subject-specific learning and research.
• A reflective, innovative and collaborative approach, with the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students to achieve their full potential, a commitment to continual professional development, and a willingness to work closely with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to enrich students’ educational experiences.

About you

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment as well as meet visa-related restrictions for Thailand, including holding the qualifications required to secure the appropriate visa and work authorisation. You will be a professional, reflective and innovative educator who demonstrates integrity, respect and responsibility and is committed to supporting students’ academic and personal growth.
