Fello will be hosting on-site hiring events throughout the spring for anyone interested in starting a career as a Direct Support Professional. To reserve your spot at our next hiring fair, simply complete an application and a member of our team will reach out with all the details.
At Fello, we champion the rights of people with disabilities and invest in what matters most: real opportunities, strong relationships, and inclusive, equitable communities. We partner with people with disabilities to provide support services, develop inclusive housing, and create spaces where people feel genuinely connected—not just accommodated.
Direct Support Professionals are at the heart of Fello's mission. In this role, you will support people with disabilities, partnering with them to build independence, practice self-advocacy, and make meaningful choices about their own lives.
Direct Support Professionals provide support with daily living activities at home and in the community, including meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining a healthy living environment. They deliver services outlined in each person's Person-Centered Plan, ensuring goals are developed, implemented, and that progress benchmarks are met. They also monitor and report any concerns about an individual's living conditions to ensure compliance with Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and OHCQ regulations. This role may also involve administering medication in accordance with applicable training, certification, and nursing oversight requirements.
The ideal candidate is a team player who responds to changes and challenges in a calm and productive manner, with a demonstrated ability to provide support in a respectful way that honors the various needs of the people we support. They communicate in a timely and professional manner with persons supported, their families, coworkers, and other stakeholders. Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn technology tools used to support people with disabilities are required.
This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Candidates must be able to complete all required Fello and DDA trainings, including Certified Medication Technician certification.
This position includes an award-winning total rewards (benefits) package and opportunities for professional development within our mission-driven organization.
Fello is an equal opportunity employer which means we provide equal opportunity to all qualified candidates without regard to race, color, religion, ancestry, sex, gender, gender expression, national origin, age, marital status, military/veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, genetic information, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. To provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all candidates, employment decisions at Fello will be based on merit, qualifications, and skills. Fello highly encourages all employees to become fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.
