This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the TI and Commercial Property Management team in Vancouver as a Drywall Installer & FinisherThe ideal candidate is experienced in drywall finishing to level 4, is able to frame and board, and is a self-motivated, extremely organized, detail-oriented with strong initiative and an ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of constituents; and has proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads.

What Will You Do?
Work with a team to execute commercial, industrial, and retail tenant improvement projects
Read and interpret drawings to determine specifications and requirements
Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of light weight steel studs, drywall, wood, wood substitutes and other materials.
Tape, mud, and sand drywall to level 4 finish, ready for paint
Ceiling grid, ceiling tile, door installation and other handyman/ contractor duties
Able to lead projects and lead a team of 1-2 people
Ability to do material takeoffs, coordinate deliveries, and execute projects without immediate direction
An expert understanding of the construction process
Be able to do physical work for an 8-hour shift
Be able to follow instructions and give instructions
Pay attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
Willing to travel to different sites.
Load, unload and move materials and tools onto site.
Clean work areas and equipment regularly.
Have your own vehicle and power tools
Other duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experienced in drywall finishing to level 4, is able to frame and board
Must be familiar reading construction drawings, RFP’s to determine scope of work
Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ideal candidate is a self-motivated, extremely organized, detail-oriented with strong initiative
The position requires an experience of minimum 3-4 years in construction.
The position is physically demanding and requires, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads and good hand-eye co-ordination as well as a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
The candidate may be required to work at heights, and in noisy places
An ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of constituents
Capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads.
Salary Range:
$83,000 – 95,000 CAD per year
