Dry Ice Technician (full time)

Sarnia, ON, Canada | req29399

The Ice Technician packs and prepares dry ice orders for different segments of Dry Ice markets while maintaining the safety, health and environmental standards of the plant.

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will load trailers and ship dry ice directly to branches or customers
  • It is important to keep the production area, warehouse, and shipping bins clean to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
  • You will prepare shipping documents to ensure all deliveries are properly documented
  • Operating a forklift and electric pallet jack will be part of your daily tasks
  • Meeting established standards for productivity and quality is essential in this role
  • You will operate, monitor, and control the various dry ice process equipment to maintain smooth operations
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet peak product demands is appreciated
  • The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively as part of the physical demands of the job

What makes you great*

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is what we’re looking for to get started
  • Ideally, you have one to three years of experience working in an industrial environment, which helps you hit the ground running
  • Being comfortable with basic math is important since you’ll need to perform calculations regularly
  • You should feel confident using computers and data entry systems as part of your daily tasks
  • Having a mechanical aptitude and being comfortable working with industrial equipment will definitely help you succeed
  • The role requires you to meet the physical demands, including lifting and repetitive tasks, so being physically capable is key
  • Safety is a top priority here, so having a strong respect for safety protocols and expectations is essential
  • Attention to detail and accuracy will help you deliver quality work consistently
  • Working well within a team and managing tight deadlines is important to keep everything running smoothly
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is necessary to ensure you can be here when needed
  • If you have certifications like First Aid or Forklift Operation, that’s a great bonus and will strengthen your application

This is a new position with a starting hourly wage of $24.10.
