ASSIGNED TO THE CONROE CENTRAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
The Driver/Press Operator performs duties in the operation of a belt filter press and or centrifuge at the wastewater treatment plant. The position is also responsible for hauling processed wastewater sludge to a repurposing facility and hauling wastewater grit and rags to the landfill in a roll-off truck. Other duties include preventative maintenance of the belt press and other wastewater treatment processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma required. Minimum one year of experience in operations of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants and operations of a belt filter press and or centrifuge.
Special Requirements:
Must possess Class "C" wastewater certification issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Must possess a valid Texas Class "B" Commercial Driver's License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is heavy to medium and requires the ability to exert up to 70 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and talking.
