Salary: FCLW £25,604.23 (Pro-Rata)

Working Pattern: 20 hours per week (Monday - Friday 4 hours per day every other week)

Location: Meals on Wheels, Kirkcaldy (Ostlers Care Home)

These posts ensure meals are delivered to the homes of service users who have pre ordered meals. Hours are mainly between 10am to 2pm over 7 days a week - the following permanent post is currently available:

Meals on Wheels - Kirkcaldy:

  • 20 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 4 hrs a day every other week, 52 weeks.

You will earn a competitive salaryof £25,604.23 pro-rataand have access to a range of benefits, including:

  • We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.64 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

This work is about providing daily delivery of meals to service users on a specified daily route. Advising line manager regarding client welfare if required along with an understanding of client confidentiality. Completing relevant paperwork and general kitchen duties. Training to achieve an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate will be given. A full driving licence is essential for this post.

The Person

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.

You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
