What you will be doing

Newhaul is seeking an experienced Driver Training Lead, to set the training strategy for experienced MC hires, and the ongoing training of MC drivers while implementing the Newhaul Way.

This role suits an experienced MC Driver with strong training experience, who understands long-distance driving of large vehicles, that transport bulk commodities, the challenges around fatigue, how to set and instil the Newhaul driving standards to drive positive outcomes. The ideal candidate is required to have the knowledge and experience to listen and overcome objections and put forward ideas on how to make improvements.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Lead, train and manage Driver Trainers, ensuring they are appropriately equipped to cope with the demands of the role
• Maintain currency of knowledge in VOC practices and requirements and share changes and insights with Driver Trainers
• Understand industry trends, business impacts and changes in environment and impart these findings with Driver Trainers
• Design, deliver and maintain Driver Training and records to ensure proficiency of Driver Trainers
• Manage and review Driver Trainer records, ensuring they are conducting training activities to the highest level
• Monitor Driver Trainer behaviours, ensuring they are well adjusted and thriving in their roles

Qualifications

What you will bring

• Holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - this is an essential minimum requirement
• Currently hold an MC driver’s licence.
• Extensive experience in delivering hands-on training to MC Drivers
• The ability to design and maintain driver training to a high standard
• 3 years or more experience driving road trains
