About the Role:

We’re currently recruiting a Full-Time Driver Trainer to support our growing Durham Region operations In this role, you’ll play a critical part in shaping the next generation of professional drivers while ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service and uphold our safety-first culture.

Hourly Rate: $21.00

Primary Responsibilities

The Driver Trainer is responsible for training and teaching employees how to drive all Company owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner. The role also includes providing a high degree of customer service in a fast-paced work environment.

This position includes the following duties:

  • Conduct Driver Assessments to evaluate skill, safety, and readiness.
  • Deliver Voyago Division Training Programs in accordance with company standards and policies.
  • Facilitate License Upgrading programs, specifically for B Class licensing.
  • Lead external instructional training sessions as required.
  • Support the Transit Supervisor with additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Valid B or F Class License held for a minimum of 3 years required
  • Clean Driver Abstract with no demerit points required
  • Clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening required
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service
  • Strong knowledge of Durham Region and surrounding areas
  • Effective organizational and communication skills
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as required
  • Understanding of the vehicle-for-hire industry and relevant regulations
  • Familiarity with wheelchair tie-down systems (Q’Straint and similar)
