Smart Environmental Ltd works on behalf of local councils, businesses, and communities, providing rubbish and recycling collection services throughout New Zealand. Acquired by Blue Planet and operating a large fleet of collection vehicles and line haul operations, our mission is to divert waste from landfill and create cleaner, more sustainable communities.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Driver Trainer to support our HSE team by delivering driver training, coaching, and assessments across our operations. This role is responsible for promoting safe driving practices, supporting driver development, maintaining training records, and ensuring drivers meet company and regulatory requirements.
Based in Auckland, this is a hands-on role that requires regular travel to our operational sites throughout New Zealand. You will work closely with operational leaders, drivers, and the wider HSE team to strengthen driving capability and safety performance across the business.
This is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday position.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong driver training experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
As the role requires frequent travel and independent work, you will be comfortable managing your own workload while remaining connected with the wider team.
