Job Description

Join us as an Agitator Driver & Relief Batcher and enjoy competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and a supportive team culture. You’ll operate modern, well‑maintained agitator trucks while also providing relief batching support when required. No two days are the same. Your work will be a mix of driving, batching, yard duties, and customer interaction, all contributing to the delivery of high‑quality concrete to our customers.

Why This Role?

  • Agitator Driver and Relief Batcher based out of our Rockhampton Plant.
  • Hourly rate: ranging from $32.61 to $36.39 depending on experience.
  • Overtime: time and a half after 8 hours, double time after 10 hours.
  • 45 to 55 average weekly hours, Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work as needed.
  • Operate modern, well‑maintained trucks featuring advanced safety technology, route mapping, and load tracking.
  • Enjoy daily variety with agitator driving, batching support, loader work, stock take, and yard duties.
  • 10-day comprehensive training program for all new starters.

Position Duties:

  • Filling in for the batcher in charge when required.
  • Operating the front-end loader (for those with ticket or experience).
  • Completing stock takes.
  • Performing pre-start checks.
  • Loading and delivering concrete as an agitator driver.
  • Yard duties which includes cleaning of trucks and general site maintenance.
  • Supporting purchasing activities.
  • Ensuring safety and quality procedures are followed at all times.

About You

  • A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence (essential for the driving component).
  • A current Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Good computer skills; SAP or batching experience beneficial but not essential.
  • External operator experience for maintenance or heavy TFRs (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and follow processes and procedures.
  • Safety‑first attitude and commitment to maintaining a clean, presentable truck.
