Source and recruit qualified driver candidates through job boards such as Indeed, Craigslist, CareerBuilder, and other recruiting platforms
Proactively identify and engage potential candidates through social media, online recruiting, and industry networking
Contact qualified applicants via phone or email within 24 hours of application submission
Conduct initial screening interviews to determine candidate qualifications and alignment with hiring criteria
Clearly communicate driver positions, schedules, compensation, and expectations to ensure proper candidate fit
Maintain consistent applicant flow by developing and managing recruiting sources and strategies
Research and implement cost-effective recruiting methods such as job fairs, social media campaigns, and industry outreach
Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate the driver onboarding process
Coordinate driver orientation
Maintain accurate applicant records and update candidate status in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
Track and analyze recruiting data to support hiring goals and continuous improvement
Verify professional references and employment history
Audit applicant documents to ensure all required paperwork and compliance requirements are completed correctly
Meet monthly hiring quotas established by the Senior Driver Recruiter or management
Perform additional duties as assigned by management or the Senior Driver Recruiter
Proven experience in prospecting, lead generation, and meeting recruitment or sales quotas
Excellent phone presence with persuasive, engaging, and professional communication skills
Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate relationship management
Highly organized with strong clerical and administrative abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Strong interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written)
Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency
High energy and commitment to delivering excellent candidate experience and customer service
Recruiting experience within the transportation or trucking industry
Experience using the Tenstreet driver recruiting database system
Knowledge of truck fleet operations and DOT regulations
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Background or experience in the transportation industry preferred
Intermediate or higher proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
