CDL Pickup & Delivery Driver / Shop Support

Jackson Group Peterbilt is seeking a full-time CDL Pickup & Delivery Driver / Shop Support team member to help keep our Service Department operating efficiently. This position is responsible for safely transporting customer vehicles, supporting technicians and service advisors, maintaining the cleanliness of our shop and facilities, and ensuring our service fleet is clean, inspected, and ready for daily operation.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys staying busy, and understands that customer service doesn't end when the truck leaves the shop.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record required.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial trucks with manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Pickup & Delivery

  • Safely transport customer vehicles to and from customer locations.
  • Deliver vehicles between dealership locations, vendors, and customers.
  • Complete vehicle pickup and delivery paperwork accurately.
  • Represent Jackson Group Peterbilt professionally while interacting with customers.

Shop Support

  • Assist technicians and service advisors by moving vehicles throughout the facility.
  • Stage vehicles for repairs, washing, QC inspections, and customer pickup.
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient workflow throughout the Service Department.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely as needed.

Fleet & Facility Maintenance

  • Wash customer vehicles as needed after service.
  • Wash, fuel, and maintain the cleanliness of all Service Department vehicles.
  • Perform daily inspections of company service vehicles, including checking:
    • Fluid levels
    • Tire condition and air pressure
    • Lights
    • Windshield wipers
    • Overall cleanliness
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
  • Keep the Service Department clean and organized by:
    • Sweeping shop floors
    • Emptying trash
    • Cleaning work areas and service drive
    • Organizing equipment and supplies
    • Maintaining the wash bay and parking areas
    • Assisting with general housekeeping throughout the department

General

  • Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and dealership safety procedures.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Service Management.
