Nau mai, haere mai ki a Fulton Hogan | Welcome to Fulton Hogan.

We’re looking for a Truck Driver / Operator to join our team in Palmerston North. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help keep work moving across sites, depots and the wider network by safely transporting plant, machinery and construction materials.

You’ll be trusted to operate trucks and supporting machinery, work closely with a tight-knit crew, and deliver Good Work every day. It’s a role for someone who backs themselves, values safety, and is happy to muck in where needed.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Drive Class 5 trucks and truck and trailer combinations to move plant, machinery, aggregate, asphalt and other bulk materials between sites, quarries and depots.

  • Load, unload and transport equipment safely and efficiently, including supporting oversized or specialist loads where required.

  • Carry out pre-start checks and keep vehicles, trailers and equipment compliant, clean, well maintained and ready for work.

  • Complete records and paperwork accurately, including maintenance, servicing, inspections and operational documentation.

  • Work alongside the wider team to support safe, high-quality delivery on site, speaking up on hazards and pitching in with day-to-day operational needs.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

  • A current Class 5 licence.

  • W, T, R endorsements and experience operating machinery.

  • At least 3 years’ practical heavy vehicle driving experience, ideally in civil construction or transport.

  • Experience transporting construction materials and operating heavy truck and trailer combinations.

  • A safety-first, team-focused approach, with good communication and the ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role across active sites.
