The Opportunity | Te kōwhiringa
Joining our Transport and Infrastructure business, as a Driver Operator, you’ll support our Taumarunui Road Construction & Maintenance crews in the delivery of ongoing assignments across the Bay of Plenty region.
You will assist with a diverse range of construction, renewal and maintenance projects across the region. Working alongside our dedicated team you may operate machinery including excavators, rollers, and trucks but will also from time to time need to use hand tools to get the job done.
This is a full-time, permanent role working across Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work.

Required
With some experience operating civil machinery under your belt, you will be confident working within a team and independently as required. You will be comfortable using machinery to get the job done. You’ll also:
Enjoy working outdoors alongside a team
Be reliable and hard working with a positive 'can do' attitude
Show commitment to safe work practises
Have a Class 2 or 4 licence
Hold WTR endorsement (beneficial)
Be flexible to pick up occasional weekend work and on-call shifts
If you don’t have experience but have your Class 2 or 4 licences + a keen interest in civil construction, we are willing to offer training for the right candidate.
