This position is for EPES Transport, LLC., a division of Penske Logistics, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Driver Onboarding Administrator supports the Director of Orientation & Onboarding in facilitating a seamless transition for newly hired company drivers into the Epes driver workforce. By assisting with the onboarding process, this role plays a critical part in enhancing the overall driver experience and contributing to Epes driver retention efforts.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM
Major Responsibilities:
• Present onboarding presentation and resources to include driver pay process, driver apps, corrective action training and other safety sensitive functions.
• Input/update new hire information in Qtracs/HOS and EFS system for fuel cards, driver profiles, etc.
• Communicate via email, letters, forms, faxes to various staff internally and externally on the status and process of new hire candidates.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred
• 1 year of leadership management experience
• 1 year of driver recruiting/orientation and onboarding experience
• Orientation software proficiency: Demonstrated ability to effectively use orientation software to onboard new employees, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition into the company.
• Compliance & regulatory knowledge: In-depth understanding of industry-specific compliance and regulatory requirements, with the ability to implement and monitor adherence to these standards.
• Engaging: Strong interpersonal skills to create a welcoming and interactive environment for employees, fostering engagement and participation during training sessions.
• Positive attitude: Consistently maintains a positive and optimistic outlook, contributing to a motivating and encouraging workplace atmosphere.
• Supportive: Provides ongoing support and guidance to team members, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their professional goals.
• Strong organization and time management skills required
• Effective communication skills including both written and verbal
• Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers as well as Penske associates
• Ability to use critical thinking to analyze information, communicate appropriately, make decisions within the framework of the SOP, solve problems, evaluate results, and determine if further action is needed.
• Ability to work First, Second and Third shifts as needed. Flexibility with scheduling required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background Investigation, (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
