Job Description

A Mail Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for the timely and secure transport of company mail, documents and packages throughout all CPC locations, and/or to local vendors or customers.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for driving company-owned vehicle to deliver and pick-up interoffice items throughout all CPC locations and/or to local vendors or customer.
  • Ensure mail is handled securely and delivered to the correct recipients.
  • Maintain accurate log of deliveries and pickups, tracking any time-sensitive or critical items.
  • Communicate with company departments regarding mail delivery schedules, urgent items, or special requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle, keeping up with the daily maintenance.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to senior management.
  • Must always carry clean driver’s license.
  • Maintain a clean and organized mail distribution area.
  • Perform additional administrative or mailroom-related duties as assigned.
  • Driving safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws, company vehicle policies and standard operating procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Required to be present in the warehouse office to provide immediate support daily.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Valid New York driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Must have an active driver’s license for at least 5 years.
  • Prior experience in mail delivery, courier services, or logistics preferred.
  • High School or GED diploma required.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of state traffic laws.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills for tracking deliveries and updating records, as needed.
  • Be responsible, respectful and behave in a professional manner in all our buildings.

Physical Demands:

  • Constantly required to use hands, fingers and feet to operate vehicle controls; and reach with hands, arms and legs.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, balance, sit, talk, hear, climb or walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • Frequently works outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Employee travel/work hours/schedule/location and/or shift are subject to change based on business needs and management discretion.
  • Regular, ongoing travel throughout geographic areas on a continual basis as normal scope of role using company-owned vehicle.
  • Work environment in production operations and warehouse facilities include proximity to heavy machinery and pharmaceutical powders (dust), with loud noises.

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
