The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Driver – Light Vehicle who will be responsible in ensuring safe and timely transport of people or merchandise from one place to another in accordance with the Company’s travel and safety procedures with the supervision of the Camp Admin and Transportation Services Supervisor. The position will report to Legal, Permitting and Compliance.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Apply defensive driving techniques to anticipate and prevent potential hazards
• Maintain professionalism and promote a culture of safe and responsible driving
• Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition at all times
• Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle's roadworthiness to ensure compliance with the company standards and Philippine Land transportation office standards
• Prioritize road safety, maintain discipline, and courteous to other road users
• Communicate professionally with respect to others, or internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure good physical and mental condition at all time to keep focus and alertness
• Follow the company standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and harmonious work environment
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and diagnosis of the Vehicle condition
• Conducts job hazard analysis or risk assessment using available methods to determine the necessary controls to reduce risks to an acceptable level
• Report any safety concerns to enable to address them immediately

Qualifications

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way
• Preferably a high school or vocational course graduate
• At least two (2) years relevant work experience in Metro and Central Luzon
• With a valid Professional Driver’s License & National Certificate in Driving
• With good communication skills both oral & written as the position requires to regularly communicate to internal and external customers
• Basic knowledge in computer
• With good customer service skills
• Amenable to 1-year fixed term
