Job Description

We're looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our transportation team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty vehicles while transporting cargo across Al Ain and surrounding areas. You'll maintain the highest standards of professionalism, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and maintain an unwavering commitment to road safety and regulatory compliance.   • Operate heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently across Al Ain and surrounding regions, adhering to all UAE traffic laws and company safety protocols
  • Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any mechanical issues and reporting maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal vehicle performance
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of routes, fuel consumption, delivery times, and cargo documentation with meticulous attention to detail
  • Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution, secure fastening of loads, and compliance with weight restrictions
  • Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and route planning tools while meeting delivery schedules and exceeding customer expectations
  • Comply with all UAE traffic regulations, weight restrictions, and hazardous material handling procedures as applicable
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status, route changes, and operational concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained vehicle interior and exterior to reflect professionalism and company standards
  • Respond professionally and courteously to customer inquiries and ensure timely, damage-free deliveries
  • Participate actively in safety training, vehicle maintenance programs, and professional development opportunities as required
  • Demonstrate resilience and decisive problem-solving when addressing unexpected challenges or road conditions

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license for heavy vehicles (Category 4 or equivalent) issued by UAE authorities
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience operating heavy vehicles in commercial transportation settings
  • Proven experience with cargo handling, load distribution, and securing freight safely
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and mechanical systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of UAE traffic laws, road safety regulations, and weight restriction requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform loading/unloading tasks and manage extended driving periods
  • Demonstrated defensive driving techniques and a safety-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions accurately, and take initiative in problem-solving
  • Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools
  • Familiarity with logistics software and digital documentation systems
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices and commitment to professional excellence
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and resilient when managing multiple priorities or challenging situations
