Job Description

Performs driving duties per the American Hospital Dubai schedules and work rota assignments prepared by the transportation supervisor. Supports Transport Supervisor as and when required and covers his duties during absence. Conducts employee mini bus scheduled collections and returns. Completes airport collection/departure, visa and ministry, bank, laboratory, mail, and a wide range of other driving duties as required and UAE-wide driving assignments as scheduled.

• Provides a quantitative and qualitative work ethic.
• Maintains the vehicles to the required standard of maintenance.
• Demonstrates consistent dependability in all assignments.
• Conducts safety checks daily on all vehicles as assigned.
• Always complies with the road transport regulations, signage and traffic conditions.
• Carries out assigned duties effectively and successfully to the required quality standard.
• Accountable for follow-up referrals relating to his section.
• Ensures that incident reports are complete and communicated to the Quality Improvement (QI) department through the Supervisor.
• Offers recommendations for change in systems to maximize utilization of personnel and resources.
• Monitors reports and statistics for areas of responsibility.
• Attends to all emergencies and is on call for lab and other runs.
• Shows an active awareness of continuing Quality Improvement (QI).
• Participates in Quality Improvement (QI) activities.
• Makes best efforts to reduce cost and fuel consumption.
• Implements Sustainable Practices/Policies in Facilities Management's operations.

• Trade School and/or High School Graduate
• Valid UAE Driving License

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of two (2) years experience as a driver
• Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards
• Ability to read and write English
