About the role

Safely operates trucks requiring a CDL class B license. You will complete customer equipment pick-ups for repair and safely transporting the equipment to the Service Center and then back to the customer. This includes the knowledge of properly securing the load as required by regulation and safely operating large flatbed vehicles amongst the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs and safely operates vehicles as required.
  • Pick up the customer equipment for repair and safely transporting the equipment to the Service Center and then back to the customer.
  • Properly securing the load as required by regulation and safely operating large flatbed vehicles amongst the public.
  • Ability to be properly licensed, medically capable and have the knowledge to operate the class of vehicle they will be assigned to drive.
  • Support other duties which includes transferring parts from one area to another, cleaning machines and trucks, and other duties as outlined by the Operation Leader to support all and any jobs contracted by Sulzer EMS.

Requirements:

  • Must have a current CDL Class B license.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.
  • Must be able to read and understand the English language.
  • Physical and mental abilities to learn and perform job functions properly and in a timely manner, especially functions affecting the safety of anyone on site.
  • Must be 18 or older according to specific State law; 21 or older for Interstate operations.

Additional qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Experience driving a forklift is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard procedures.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items.
