About the role

Join our team and play an important part in helping create a cleaner, more sustainable Taranaki. Every day, you'll contribute to reducing waste, increasing resource recovery, and supporting environmental outcomes that benefit future generations.

As a Driver, you will operate one of our modern collection vehicles, equipped with the latest technology, to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable collection services throughout the Taranaki region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing daily vehicle inspections and safety checks.
  • Maintaining accurate worktime records.
  • Collecting and sorting recyclable materials, including glass and food waste.
  • Following company health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on role that involves lifting, collecting, and sorting materials. You will need a good level of fitness and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, with early morning starts.

From previous experience, you’ll already know the importance of health and safety in the workplace, and contribute to our goal of making sure everyone gets home safely.

Qualifications

About you

You are customer-focused and enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues. You’re comfortable working independently and pulling together as part of the team.

  • A clean and up to date Class 2 New Zealand driver’s licence
  • Relevant driving experience
  • Aware, responsible and skilled
