Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and flexible Part-Time Automotive Driver (On-Call) to support our vehicle transportation and delivery operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy driving, working independently, and being part of a fast-paced dealership environment.
You will be responsible for long-distance vehicle pickups, dealership transfers, and customer home deliveries, ensuring all vehicles and documentation meet strict compliance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Transport & Dealership Support
- Transport vehicles between dealership locations and vendor sites
- Complete long-distance vehicle acquisition runs (up to 15 hours)
- Perform pre- and post-transport vehicle inspections (interior/exterior)
- Verify VIN numbers, mileage, and vehicle condition prior to transport
- Ensure vehicles are clean, damage-free, and delivery-ready
Customer Vehicle Delivery
- Conduct professional home deliveries for customers
- Verify driver’s licenses for all signing parties
- Ensure all documents are signed accurately and completely
- Communicate professionally and represent the dealership brand
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate, complete, and matched to the correct vehicle
- Confirm dealer invoice and required documentation accompany each delivery
- Follow all dealership policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards
- Immediately report any discrepancies or concerns
Availability & Requirements
- Must be available for on-call scheduling (up to 20 hours/week)
- Must submit availability and time-off requests in advance
- Must be able to complete long-distance driving assignments (up to 15 hours)
- Refusal of three (3) assigned runs within a 90-day period may result in separation

Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must meet dealership insurance and insurability requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional communication and customer service skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
- Frequent entering/exiting vehicles
- Ability to perform visual inspections
- Occasional bending, lifting, and movement during vehicle checks

Work Environment
- Frequent travel across Ohio and the surrounding areas
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
- Interaction with customers, vendors, and dealership staff
