Position Summary
The Driver is responsible for delivering medications to pharmacy clients using their own vehicle, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and providing excellent customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Delivers medications to clients using a personal vehicle.
- Timely reports mileage for reimbursement.
- Securely returns any medications that are not accepted by clients.
- Collect customer payments and ensure accurate handling of transactions.
- Serves as the face of the pharmacy, providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Maintains professional personal conduct at the client’s place of business or residence is expected at all times.
- Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
- Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
- Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
- Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
- Maintains basic records of mileage deliveries made.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated ability to drive safely.
- Competent using navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
- Ability to plan effective delivery routes.
- Maintains basic logs and records.
- Strong competence to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
- Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proven experience to manage time effectively and work independently.
- Must be able to lift and carry packages up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a driver preferred
- Familiarity with the local area and routes preferred.
- Experience in handling medications or working in a healthcare setting.
