KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This individual will report directly to the transportation manager.

  • This position will require a qualified individual to operate the following equipment: curtain van, tractor with 5500g liquid bulk tanker, tractor with 53ft. van trailer, 26ft box truck with a lift gate.

  • The curtain van will be used to transport IBCs (250g and 330g totes) to the customer’s location, where they will then be pumped off, via diaphragm pump, into the customer’s storage tank. This is 100% hazmat material that is being pumped.

  • The 5500g liquid bulk tanker is used to make bulk liquid deliveries. These deliveries are 100% hazmat, either 50% sodium hydroxide or a sodium hydroxide blend.

  • The van trailer is used to deliver both hazmat and non-hazmat materials

  • The box truck with lift gate is used to make both hazmat and non-hazmat deliveries.

  • PPE must be worn at all times when handling hazmat material.

  • This is not solely a driving position as there will be warehouse duties as well, including forklift operation, inventory management, truck loading and unloading, and other additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have CDL A with hazmat and tanker endorsements to be considered.

  • Individuals must have a clean driving record and be very skilled at maneuvering and operating all the pieces of equipment listed above.

  • A minimum of 2 years of driving experience but will consider less if it’s the right candidate.

  • This individual must be able to hit the ground running and be a great self-starter.

  • Must have great customer service skills.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
