Join Drive the Future internship program in Colombia if you are a student in your last years of University or recently graduated. This is a full-time intern role in which you will receive several trainings & coaching to develop professional skills while experiencing our inclusive culture led by our principles: Service, Heart, Curiosity, Courage and Excellence.

As a Markets and Trading intern in the Treasury area (Trading Desk), you will be the right hand of the trading team in all issues of risk control and monitoring. The position will give you the opportunity to learn about different financial products and therefore enrich the knowledge on topics such as FX, Bonds and derivatives. As many subjects are tangentially touched during the university, it is important to have an open attitude to receive information constantly so that it can be applied day by day in the assigned tasks. Also, you will assist senior traders in managing risk, liquidity and neutralizing exposure, pricing of products such as FX Spot/NDFs/DFs, Local Bonds, Bond and FX Futures, Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Bond and FX options, among others, support the team by providing daily market facts prepared with updates inclusive of economic research views used in the morning meetings to discuss daily strategy, develop trade ideas based on statistical models that help to build optimal trading strategies, construct daily reports of P&L & Risk, and trade capture and trade reconciliation.

Job responsibilities:

  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and analysis of information relevant to the Front Office, including financial statements, market data, macroeconomic and financial statistics, and market summaries.
  • Prepare key inputs and operational materials to support the Trading Desk’s day-to-day activities and decision-making processes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate trade capture in internal systems and adherence to regulatory and internal limits.
  • Reconcile and report daily Front Office risk and P&L metrics ensuring accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Front Office team in any other task assigned.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Advanced bachelor students, recent graduated students or (thesis pending) on Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Mathematics with Financial background.
  • Advanced English.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and VBA coding.
  • Full-time availability to work in Bogotá, Colombia
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
