GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This is full-performance work providing direct and support services to female or male drug and alcohol abusers
in a residential setting. The Residential Aide is responsible for a variety of routine, basic tasks essential to the
smooth operation of the facility and surrounding perimeter. Other duties associated with this position facilitate
the treatment and rehabilitation of the residential client by assisting clients in overcoming anxieties, explaining
available services, obtaining client cooperation and encouraging program involvement. Residential Aides
function under the supervision of the Program Director or designee.
Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures, but employees are
expected to exercise significant initiative and independent judgment in discharging duties. Work is reviewed by
the Program/Clinical Supervisor or Program Director through an evaluation of the timely and accurate
completion of assignments
